Join FoxC Birding and Wild Birds Unlimited for an introduction to spring migration at Gilmore Ponds MetroPark, one of Southwest Ohio’s top birding locations during peak migration. This guided walk is designed to help birders build confidence, sharpen identification skills, and experience the excitement of spring as migratory species return to the region.

Spring migration is one of the most active and rewarding times to be in the field. We’ll explore a mix of habitats including wetlands, woodlots, and open areas in search of:

• Migrating warblers, vireos, and flycatchers

• Waterfowl and shorebirds utilizing the ponds

• Resident species in breeding activity

Along the way, we’ll focus on:

• Bird identification by sight and sound

• Recognizing behavior and habitat clues

• Practical techniques to help you find birds more consistently
